Introduction

Composition
This drug is the saturated derivative of a powerful natural inhibitor of pancreatic lipases originated in Streptomyces toxytricini. It inhibits a pancreatic lipase which is an enzyme breaking down triglycerides in the intestine. In the absence of this enzyme, triglycerides are block to hydrolyze diet to absorbable fatty acids and it will then undigest upon excretion.

Dosage and administration
Recommended prescription of this drug is one capsule of Xenical with 120 mg three times every day or Alli capsule 60 mg three times a day. Take orlistat one hour during or after your meal which contains fat of 15 mg. If your meal has no fat, no need for orlistat. There are additional benefits when this drug weight loss when a person take it more than 120 mg. In combination of proper diet, there will have a decrease in calorie intake by approximately 30% of the calories that came from fatty foods. If you happen to miss taking it, take the missed dose one hour after your meal but when you miss it more than one hour since you take your last meal, then better skip the last dose that you missed and just go on with your next regular dose. Never take a double dose for it can cause side effects.
Contraindication
This weight loss drug has its contraindications on malabsorption, hypersensitivity to this kind of drug, may result to reduce gallbladder function and it is not good for pregnant women as well as for those who are breast feeding.
